The First Era (500-472 years BB - Before the Battle)
The first years of recorded history. The only known Tribes are the Water Dragons, the Griffon Alliances, and the Merfolk Kingdom. The first documented history is a written account of the first Water Dragon leadership trade off, going from their first king to their second.
The Founding Era (472-475 years BB)
Perhaps encouraged by the Water Dragon kings, the Founding Era is when the other four dragon types, breathers of fire, ice, lightning, and earth, united into their own tribes. The first five, as these leaders were called (despite the water king of the time being their third leader), were Lotus of the Water Tribe, Scorch of the Fire Tribe, Stone of the Ice Tribe, Thundershock of the Lightning Tribe, and Slate of the Earth Tribe.
The Peace Era (475-8 years BB)
The longest era before the Great Battle, the Peace Era lasted several hundred leaders for each tribe. It it unknown quite what started the process, but it is agreed that around 9 Years BB, the Tribes began to crumble. By the following year even the Water Tribe had disbanded and all dragons were loners.
The Allying Era (8-0 years BB)
During these eight years, the lone dragons banded together again. But not for the noble purpose of becoming tribes. No, they joined together in alliances for war. As the eight year drew to a close, the first fight brought the Great Battle to its start.
The Great Battle (0 years BB - 7 BY - Battle Years)
The Great Battle lasted seven years. It was a massive war, fought all across Odyssey. All dragon kinds, and even a few of the non-dragons like the griffons and centaurs were involved. It wasn't until the 7th Battle Year that a cry for peace arose, and the Battle slowly began to cease.
The Great Uniting (1 year AB - After the Battle)
As the Battle drew to a close, the dragons realized that they needed to once again align themselves into their different tribes. In a massive gathering, the dragons chose their leaders, and homes for them all to live in. The five leaders after the Great Uniting were Coral of the Water Breathers, Wysteria of the Fire Breathers, Skarn of the Earth Breathers, Blast of the Lightning Breathers, and Glacier of the Ice Breathers.
The Magic Era (2 years AB - 80 years AB)
After the Great Uniting, the species around Odyssey began to notice that some of their offspring were being born with...oddities. And not the normal oddities like extra claws or such. No, the children were being born with the ability to do magic. For thirty or so years, everyone celebrated the birth of these magical children. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, arrived a human who had magic. His name, was Tempest, and he gathered together other magic users, and used them for evil.
It wasn't until 72 AB that a Fire Dragon named Drake, decided that they should stop cowering before Temepst and do something about him. Two years later, he and his army invaded Magic's Touch*
It took a few more years for all the Magical users to be hunted down and killed, but by 80 AB the Magic Era drew to a close.
The Fire Era/The Silent Era (81 years AB - present)
The current Era, named after the Silencing that is preformed on the Ice Dragons by them, and called the Fire Era by the dominant Fire Dragons. The other Dragon kinds left Drake's Peak shortly after Tempest was killed, and it is currently unknown what became of them.
- Chapter One takes place in 278 AB
- Chapter Two will take place in 280 AB
- Chapter Three and the remainder of the book, unless changed, will take place in 286 AB
